News & Updates
August 2026
This year has been tremendous as our membership closes in on capacity. One of the big events that we’ve done this year is Kitsap Pride in July. We had a constant stream of support at our booth and our members had a blast working together at the market. We’ve setup a group to find and select markets for the studio to attend and we’ll be doing profit-sharing with all our contributing members. Pride let us test the model out and it was fantastic. As an owner it makes me feel better helping other artists find community and growth which I believe will lead to better stability for the ceramic community as a whole.
We’ve registered to be at the Witches’ Night Market in Downtown Bremerton on October 17th from 4pm to 10pm. We look forward to showing off some of our own witchy vibes with you.
Additionally, our members are presenting a new feature: we’re adding a teen ceramics program starting with 2 classes. The class will be once a week for 4 weeks and will cover the basics of hand-building, studio stewardship, and creative outlet.
Lastly, with the addition of slip casting, studio clay and the increase in monthly firings, we are updating our membership pricing starting September 1st. Month to month memberships are still available and the price will rise to $175* a month (*not including tax). Signing with a three month, six month or one year membership will result in a discount on the month to month cost.
Thank you to all the members and supporters of Unity Fired Arts.
March 2026
Can you believe that Unity Fired Arts has been open for almost a year?
We’ve been adding so to the studio to help support our community: an additional kiln, a pug mill, new shelving, more wet lockers, and most importantly: more firings!
Our members have been showing up and building a wonderful community, sharing techniques and developing their skills around common interests.
We still need more! Whether you’re into the science of ceramics or just the artistry, we are looking for those motivated to pursue their interests and grow with their community.
Though Unity Fired Arts doesn’t offer classes, we do offer something you won’t find in your home studio: community. Community helps get through the tedious portions of skill: practice and repetition. You’ll find a creative vibe and positive peers help make the experience more enjoyable and fulfilling.
If you have a studio and want to share your experience with other potters, offer workshops or have a special night for your own group of creatives, we have the time and space to host. Reach out and we can help shape the experiences that you want to share.
Our community grows…
Thank you to all our members! Our membership continues to climb as we stabilize the studio processes and build out the small conveniences you’d expect to find in a community studio. It’s our goal to become the destination for aspiring ceramic artists to grow their careers. To support this goal, we seek members and sponsors to offset the cost of business so we can focus on retaining open studio time for members to explore their creativity without bounds or deadlines. A process that will build strong self-reliant artists that can focus on finding their voice in clay.
If you want to volunteer, sponsor, or provide gifts of equipment or tools, we are always looking. If you are interested in running technique workshops, mentorship or giving individual assistance: we are currently looking to grow the instruction schedule.
Thank you!
